The Savory Meal Menu

Chef Tu David Phu is preparing a six-course meal inspired  by traditional Asian cuisine for The Savory Meal. Each platter will be shared in a family-style dining experience. He will share the story and inspiration behind each dish. Meats and veggies of the meal are sourced from local and regenerative farmers and ranchers in the Bay Area and Northern California. We share with Chef Tu David Phu a passion for dishes prepared with respect for, and insight into, how animals and plants were farmed to produce the meal.  We believe in regenerative agriculture and food with a story. In other words: “farming (and eating) done right.” It is our intention to gather regenerative farmers and ranchers together with passionate consumers and share a meal.  Without further adieu, here is the full menu for The Savory Meal: eating well for a whole world. We hope you will join us at the table.

The Savory Meal is a regenerative ranching dining experience at Hardwood Bar and Smokery in San Francisco. We are thrilled and honored to work with Chef Tu David Phu, a 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Rising Star Chef, to create and present The Savory Meal. As a Savory Global Network Hub, we are hosting this event as part of the Savory Global Farm-to-Table event happening at hubs across the world. The centerpiece of the meal, the regeneratively raised meats, are provided by LeftCoast Grassfed, Stemple Creek, Root Down Farm and True Grass Farms. This is paired with wine from Tablas Creek Vineyard from Paso Robles, Calif., winner of the 2016 Green Medals for leadership in sustainability. Rice is provided by Lundberg Family Farms. They proudly produce organic, eco-farmed rice in Richvale, California. Through this re-imagined farm-to-table experience, connect with people who are passionate about, and committed to, regenerating California's rangelands.Special thanks to The Savory Meal sponsors: TomKat Ranch Educational Foundation, Paicines Ranch and Dr Bronner.Conversation topics will be presented by thought leaders in the regenerative food and agriculture movement:
